WHY:     Commencement exercises will include a special focus on the 90th anniversary of Delgado’s 1921 founding. Delgado Community College is experiencing record demand for its educational programs, including associate’s degree and certificate programs; general education for baccalaureate matriculation; and workforce development and education. This fall, Delgado enrolled a record 20,452 students – plus more than 10,000 students in workforce development and education. Delgado is a diverse, multi-campus community college, second only to LSU in student population among Louisiana colleges and universities. In a recent survey of 500 Delgado graduates, more than 90% were employed and 60% earned more than $40,000 per year.
