The Office of Institutional Advancement at Delgado Community College invites the public to attend a free financial planning seminar titled “Develop Your Financial Game Plan.” The seminar is presented by Elena Irimia, senior financial investment management consultant with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
 
This seminar addresses creating a retirement income “game plan” that incorporates sound investment strategies and current retirement realities. Topics include:

• why retirement income planning is important
• how much is needed to retire comfortably, and
• effective strategies for generating enough income.

The presenter will also provide an overview of wealth-planning topics including:

• calculating your net worth
• estate tax law changes  
• estate planning tools
• types of personal trusts
• handling retirement plan distributions, and
• analyzing insurance needs.
 
The free seminar is scheduled for Thursday, February 9, at noon in the Dolphin Den of the Delgado Community College Student Life Center, City Park Campus.
